Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last Updated: 22/12/2025

At Layrr Materials, we understand that your production schedule relies on our delivery schedule. We are committed to providing transparent lead times, secure packaging, and reliable global shipping for all our metal, ceramic, and additive manufacturing powders.

1. Processing Time

  • In-Stock Items: Orders placed before 12:00 PM (local dispatch time) for in-stock standard powders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days.

  • Custom & Bulk Orders: Large volume orders (over 50kg) or custom sieving requests (e.g., specific PSD cuts) may require additional processing time. Our sales team will provide a specific dispatch date upon order confirmation.

  • Surface-Engineered Batches: Orders for "Layrr-Enhanced" nano-coated powders are often made-to-order. Standard lead time is 5–10 business days unless otherwise specified.

Note: Processing time does not include shipping transit time.

2. Shipping Methods & Carriers

We partner with major global logistics providers to ensure your material arrives safely.

  • Small Parcels (<50kg): Shipped via Post Office, FedEx, UPS, or DHL Express. Tracking numbers are provided immediately upon dispatch.

  • Freight / Palletized (>50kg): Shipped via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) or Air Freight carriers. We will coordinate delivery appointments with your receiving dock.

3. Packaging Integrity

Powder quality depends on packaging. We utilise industry-standard protocols to prevent oxidation and moisture contamination during transit:

  • Metal Powders: Vacuum-sealed in anti-static, moisture-barrier bags, packed inside UN-rated HDPE drums or steel pails.

  • Hazardous Materials: All reactive metals (e.g., Titanium, Aluminium) are packed and labeled in strict accordance with IATA and DOT regulations for hazardous goods.

4. International Shipping & Customs

Layrr Materials ships globally. Please note the following for international orders:

  • Incoterms: Unless otherwise negotiated, standard international terms are DAP (Delivered at Place).

  • Duties & Taxes: The customer (importer of record) is responsible for all import duties, VAT, and customs clearance fees levied by the destination country.

  • End-Use Declaration: Certain superalloys and strategic materials may require an End-User Statement (EUS) for export compliance. We will notify you immediately if your order requires this documentation.

5. Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Fees

Certain fine metal powders (e.g., Titanium, Aluminium, Magnesium) are classified as "Flammable Solids" (Class 4.1).

  • These items cannot be shipped via standard consumer mail services.

  • A Hazmat handling surcharge may apply to these shipments.

  • Hazmat items may have restricted delivery zones (e.g., no PO Boxes, no air freight for specific quantities).

6. Damages & Discrepancies

We urge you to inspect all shipments immediately upon arrival.

  • Visible Damage: If packaging arrives visibly damaged, please note this on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.

  • Concealed Damage: If you discover damage after opening, or if the wrong material was received, contact us at support@layrrmaterials.com within 3 business days of delivery. Please retain all original packaging for inspection.
